Georgie was living down in a storm drain with his family in downtown Appleton when they were discovered by one of our employees. The mission to rescue the whole family began before the rain would threaten to wash them away. All 4 kittens and momma cat were rescued and immediately put into foster homes.
*GEORGIE* is one special little kitty and very fortunate that he was rescued. His rescuer noticed that he had a very large head and it turns out that he has Hydrocephalus, a neurological disease caused from the expansion of the ventricular system due to an increased volume of spinal fluid. We are currently doing lots of research on this disease and will monitor his progress as he grows. We’re not sure yet if he will have to remain on medications in his future, but he’s very laid back and easy to pill. So far he is just a very friendly and cuddly kitten who LOVES all other pets and gets along with everyone.
